Hi everyone,
We had a rainy weekend here in New Zealand. Yesterday there were severe gales reaching 140 km/hour, which is pretty serious even for Wellington. Our house is protected in a little valley, but as soon as we stepped out on the main street, we could really feel it.
On Saturday we went shopping for household items, but all we came away with was a garlic press. It is nice to not have to go into the city every day, as Island Bay is perfect for the weekends. The picture above was taken on the beach on Saturday (I'm still not sure what kind of birds they were, I'll have to do a search). Yesterday, due to the wild weather, we only left the house once. We spent hours making naan bread and vegan curry...a perfect rainy Sunday activity.
Rory is back at work today, and I'm back to searching for work. I'm really tired of it.
